Shipping policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed with The Moment Collective Pty Ltd trading as Bean & Barrel (ABN 67 696 292 369).

Bean & Barrel sells and ships alcoholic and non-alcoholic products, including spirits, roasted coffee beans, coffee products, merchandise and related products and accessories.

NSW Liquor Licence: LIQW880016009

1. DELIVERY LOCATIONS

We deliver eligible Bean & Barrel products to Australian addresses serviced by our delivery providers, subject to product availability, carrier restrictions and applicable laws.

Some products may not be available for delivery to all locations.

Where an order contains alcohol, additional delivery restrictions and age-verification requirements apply as set out below.

2. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

Estimated delivery timeframes may be displayed during checkout or provided in your order confirmation.

Unless expressly guaranteed by us, delivery timeframes are estimates only.

Delivery times may be affected by weekends, public holidays, peak trading periods, weather, courier delays, regional or remote locations and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to dispatch orders within the timeframes communicated to you.

3. SHIPPING CHARGES

Applicable shipping charges will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Shipping charges may vary depending on the products ordered, delivery location, order size, weight and delivery method.

From time to time, we may offer free or discounted shipping promotions. Additional conditions applying to those promotions will be communicated with the offer.

4. ROASTED COFFEE BEANS AND NON-ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS

Roasted coffee beans, coffee products, merchandise and other non-alcoholic products are not subject to the alcohol-specific age and identification requirements contained in this policy.

You do not need to be 18 years of age to receive a delivery containing only non-alcoholic products unless another age restriction applies to a particular product.

Roasted coffee is a fresh product and its characteristics may naturally change over time.

For the best experience, we recommend storing roasted coffee beans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture and strong odours and following any storage or best-before instructions provided with the product.

5. ORDERS CONTAINING BOTH COFFEE AND ALCOHOL

Where an order contains both alcoholic and non-alcoholic products and those products may be delivered together, the alcohol delivery requirements apply to the delivery as a whole.

This means an adult authorised to receive the alcohol may be required to be present and provide acceptable proof of age and identity before the shipment can be handed over.

Where products within an order are shipped separately, alcohol-specific requirements apply only to the shipment containing alcohol.

6. ALCOHOL – 18+ REQUIREMENT

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase or receive alcohol from Bean & Barrel.

This requirement does not apply to purchases containing only roasted coffee beans, coffee products or other non-alcoholic products.

Alcohol deliveries are subject to applicable liquor laws, our liquor licence and responsible supply requirements.

We and our delivery providers reserve the right to refuse delivery of alcohol where completing the delivery would be unlawful.

7. AGE AND IDENTITY VERIFICATION FOR ALCOHOL

Age and identity verification may be required when you order and/or receive alcohol.

You agree to provide accurate information necessary for us and our delivery providers to comply with applicable liquor laws.

The person receiving a delivery containing alcohol may be required to produce acceptable proof of age and identity.

These requirements do not apply to a delivery containing only roasted coffee beans or other non-alcoholic products.

8. AUTHORISED RECIPIENT FOR ALCOHOL

Where required by applicable law, an alcohol order must be received by the purchaser or another adult lawfully nominated or authorised to receive it.

We may provide our delivery provider with information identifying the authorised recipient where reasonably necessary to fulfil the order and comply with applicable law.

9. REFUSAL OF ALCOHOL DELIVERY

Alcohol may not be supplied where the delivery provider reasonably believes:

  • the recipient is under 18 years of age;

  • the recipient is intoxicated;

  • required proof of age or identity has not been provided;

  • the recipient is not authorised to receive the alcohol where authorisation is required;

  • the delivery location is prohibited or restricted; or

  • completing the delivery would otherwise breach applicable law.

Where delivery cannot be completed because the purchaser or recipient has failed to satisfy applicable age, identity or delivery requirements, we may recover reasonable redelivery, return or administrative costs actually incurred, to the extent permitted by law.

This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where the failure to deliver is attributable to Bean & Barrel or our delivery provider.

10. AUTHORITY TO LEAVE

For orders containing only roasted coffee beans, coffee products or other non-alcoholic products, authority to leave may be available where offered by the relevant delivery provider.

If you authorise a non-alcoholic delivery to be left unattended, the delivery provider may leave the parcel at the nominated address in accordance with its delivery procedures.

Alcohol will only be left or delivered in accordance with applicable liquor laws and the requirements of our liquor licence.

Customer delivery instructions cannot override applicable alcohol delivery laws or responsible supply requirements.

11. INCORRECT DELIVERY INFORMATION

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you identify an error in your delivery details.

Once an order has been dispatched, we may not be able to change its delivery address.

Reasonable additional costs caused by incorrect delivery information supplied by you may be charged to you to the extent permitted by law.

12. DAMAGED PRODUCTS

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at coffee@beanandbarrel.com.au.

Please provide, where reasonably practicable:

  • your order number;

  • details of the issue;

  • photographs of the product;

  • photographs of the packaging; and

  • photographs of any visible transit damage.

We will assess the issue and provide any remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. LOST OR MISSING DELIVERIES

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable period after its estimated delivery date, please contact us.

We will investigate the delivery with the relevant delivery provider.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.

14. MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS

We may fulfil an order in more than one shipment, particularly where different products are stored or fulfilled separately.

Where this occurs, you may receive separate tracking information.

If one shipment contains alcohol, the alcohol-specific delivery requirements in this policy apply to that shipment.

15. RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY OF ALCOHOL

Bean & Barrel supports the responsible supply and consumption of alcohol.

The Moment Collective Pty Ltd holds NSW Producer/Wholesaler Liquor Licence LIQW880016009.

Liquor Act 2007 (NSW): It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

Please enjoy responsibly.
